Kevin Krone
Kevin grew up taking advantage of the Colorado mountains, frequently skiing, hiking or fly fishing. Ski racing took him to St. Michael's College in Burlington, Vermont, where he was able to study Biology and Chemistry and gain valuable lab skills. After 18+ years devoted to skiing/ ski coaching, he made the life changing decision to work as a Harvest Intern in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Processing and fermenting Pinots everyday piqued his curiosity and confirmed his passion for wine. He followed the fall season down to Gisborne, New Zealand where he worked in a large scale wine lab throughout the 2020 harvest. Upon return to Colorado he began working in Palisade while enrolled in the Viticulture and Enology program at Western Colorado Community College. He gained valuable work experience while also honing his wine making skills in school. He is thrilled to be crafting exciting Colorado wine in the Gunnison Valley with so many outdoor activities accessible.
